Kickoff Forum for “International Research and Education Platform for Robust Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Industries”

Concluded a cooperation agreement with Hokkaido University, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand (MOAC), and Geographic Information and Space Technology Development Organization (GISTDA) to cooperate in smart agricultural technology and human resource development.

Six subcommittees set up on Robust Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research and Development Platform
SIG 1: Technology for efficiency improvement of production field
SIG 2: Commodity processing technology
SIG 3: Technology for long-term preservation of freshness
SIG 4: Production technology to match with consumer taste, Research and development of food functionality
SIG 5: Biomass resource utilization and energy utilization technology
SIG 6: Disaster prevention （Robustness of production areas)

The 7th subcommittee “International Cooperation” is newly established, and the 7th subcommittee system is established.

May, 2019

Hokkaido University Research and Education Center for Robust Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Industry will be introduced in FY2018 Annual Report on Food, Agriculture and Rural Areas in Japan.

Hokkaido University was selected as No. 1 in Japan in “THE Impact Ranking 2020”
